Man critically injured after shooting outside XO Sky Lounge on Washington

HOUSTON, TX – A man was critically injured after being shot outside XO Sky Lounge & Restaurant on Washington Avenue early Sunday morning.

Police responded to a shooting call around 12 a.m. in the 5100 block of Lillian Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was transported by the Houston Fire Department to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses told officers the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with an unknown male outside XO Sky Lounge, located in the 5000 block of Washington Avenue. The altercation continued until the unknown male pulled out a firearm and shot the victim.

The suspect fled before officers arrived. Police do not have suspect information at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
