Security guard killed during robbery at illegal game room disguised as cargo shipping business

HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting following a reported robbery at an illegal game room in southwest Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers assigned to the South Gessner area were dispatched just after 9:20 p.m. to the 7000 block of Bissonnet Street after a shooting was reported.

Police said the location was an illegal game room that was disguised as an express cargo shipping business. Investigators believe the business was robbed and that a security guard working at the location was shot at least once during the robbery.
