Neighbor finds pool of blood leading to discovery of two bodies at Houston House Apartments

HOUSTON, TX – A man and woman were found deceased from gunshot wounds inside an apartment at the Houston House Apartments in the 1600 block of Fannin Street.

The incident was reported shortly before 10 p.m. when a neighbor returned home and noticed a pool of blood outside a nearby unit. The neighbor immediately called police. Officers with the Houston Police Department responded and entered the apartment to check for anyone needing medical attention.

Inside, officers found an adult female and an adult male, both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. A firearm was recovered inside the unit, but investigators have not confirmed its location in relation to the victims.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Police say no suspects are being sought at this time.
