Man shot by son while working on bike in garage shed

KINGWOOD, TX – An adult male was shot in the neck or face area while working on his bike inside a garage shed at a residence in the 2700 block of Tinechester.

Officers responded to the shooting around 2 a.m. and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital.

According to police, the victim said he was working in the garage shed when he heard a loud bang and felt pain in his jaw or neck. He told officers that when he turned around, he saw his son standing over him with a gun.

The suspect initially fled the scene, prompting officers to establish a perimeter and search the area. Police later confirmed the Cleveland Police Department took the suspect into custody.

The motive for the shooting has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
