HOUSTON, TX – A man was found deceased in a front yard in northwest Houston just before 4 a.m.
The incident occurred in the 8700 block of Wheatley Street. Officers responded to a call from a nearby resident and, upon arrival, located an adult male, approximately in his early 20s, pronounced deceased at the scene.
A homeowner reported hearing a gun fired followed immediately by a crash. The homeowner then went outside and found the male in the front yard.
The number of shots fired is not specified.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division has been contacted and is en route to investigate.
