Driver ejected and killed in rollover crash on residential street in east Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A driver was killed after a rollover crash on a residential street in east Houston.

The crash occurred around 3:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of Maxine.

According to police, the driver may have lost control while traveling at a high rate of speed over railroad tracks, struck a ditch, and flipped the vehicle. The driver was ejected during the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The circumstances are pending investigation by HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division.

Police said the driver appeared to be in his teens, and no other occupants were found.
