Arson suspected in fire at vacant home on Bigelow Street

HOUSTON, TX – Arson is suspected in a fire that occurred early Saturday morning at a vacant residence in the 1200 block of Bigelow Street.

HFD responded to the scene around 12:47 a.m. and confirmed that the home had no power and was unoccupied at the time of the fire. According to HFD, they believe someone may have thrown a rock and intentionally set the fire.

The homeowner reportedly lives next door. No injuries were reported.

HFD Arson is investigating the incident.
