Motorcyclist killed in crash with car on Dupont Boulevard in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday evening involving a motorcycle and a car at the intersection of Dupont Boulevard (US 113) and Centerview Drive.

On September 13, 2025, around 7:00 p.m., a Honda motorcycle was traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard in the right lane when it failed to stop for a red light and entered the intersection at a high rate of speed.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound on Centerview Drive with a green light and proceeded straight through the intersection. The motorcycle struck the left front side of the Malibu, ejecting the rider.

The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man from York, Pennsylvania, who was wearing a DOT-certified helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is being withheld until his family is notified.

The Malibu’s driver, a 21-year-old man from Millsboro, was transported to a hospital, treated, and released for non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway was closed for about three and a half hours while Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated and cleared the scene.
