On September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling north on Piney Crest Lane when the front passenger from the golf cart fell and was critically injured. Although the golf cart did not strike another object and sustained no damage, the incident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit as a fatal crash.
The passenger, a 35-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Millsboro, was not injured.
The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues investigating this crash. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information is asked to contact Sergeant A.
