HOUSTON, TX – A major crash involving an overturned heavy-duty truck has shut down the westbound lanes of IH-610 North Loop at the IH-45 North Freeway interchange.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the truck lost its load of gravel and a diesel spill was also reported at the scene. All westbound lanes are currently closed, and traffic is heavily backed up in the area.
Emergency personnel are on scene, and HCSO MAP units are en route to assist with traffic control.
Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes until the scene is cleared.
