HESPERIA, CA – Fourteen individuals were arrested and approximately $55,000 in U.S. currency was recovered as part of a train burglary investigation led by the Rural Crimes Task Force.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the arrests occurred on October 6, 2025, around 6:30 a.m., when investigators from the Rural Crimes Task Force, with assistance from BNSF railroad police and the Hesperia Station Detective Bureau, served a search warrant at a residence in the 14600 block of Willow Street.
The warrant was tied to an ongoing investigation into train burglaries within the Victor Valley area. As officers arrived, seven suspects attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended with the help of Sheriff’s Aviation and Hesperia deputies. Another seven individuals were found inside the residence.
During the search, investigators located stolen property belonging to BNSF railroad, valued at approximately $42,500, which was returned to the railroad company. Additionally, around $55,000 in U.S. currency was recovered.
The following suspects, ranging in age from 20 to 46, and primarily residents of Hesperia, were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center:

- Ezequiel Jimenez Gaxiola, 36, Santa Rosa
- Jose Navarette Carrillo, 24, Victorville
- Isidro Mendivil Mendez, 23
- Armando Gonzalez, 20
- Eloid Paz Lizarraga, 21
- Guadalupe Alejandro Raya, 26
All suspects face charges including PC496(A) – Possession of Stolen Property and PC182(A)(1) – Conspiracy.
