HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire in the 4800 block of Tidwell. https://youtu.be/Gn0-NQKI77c According to preliminary information, the building may have been vacant, but this is still to be confirmed. At least one firefighter was transported for injuries, and both the cause of the fire and the extent of the firefighter’s injuries are unknown at this time. HFD Arson investigators were called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire. More information will follow as it becomes available.

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police say a patrol check at a CVS in downtown Houston led to a fatal officer-involved shooting after a combative suspect stabbed an officer above his left ear. https://youtu.be/PRV8ZinOPlM According to police, officers were conducting a routine business check at the CVS located at 300 Milam around 7:25 p.m. when a man entered the store yelling and acting erratically. Officers escorted him outside and attempted to speak with him as they walked approximately 50 feet away from the entrance. HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting involving two neighbors at the Siena Villas Apartment Homes in the 16000 block of Cotillion. https://youtu.be/QUIm_c96ILU The shooting occurred around 2:13 a.m. Officers with the North Patrol Division responded to the location and learned that two adult males had sustained gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet to one of the victims before Houston Fire Department personnel arrived. HFD transported both victims to a local hospital. HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian at Davis Street and Quitman Street. https://youtu.be/5G4HSN8mdmc The crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. in the 2300 block of Davis near the 2700 block of Quitman. Units were called to the location for a collision involving a citizen’s vehicle and a pedestrian. The driver was traveling eastbound on Quitman toward the U.S. 59 Freeway when he struck an object and then heard people on a nearby corner begin to scream. He stopped and discovered he had run over a man lying in the roadway. A deceased male was found at the scene, and family members arrived shortly afterward. HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured an officer near Gessner Road and Hempstead Highway. https://youtu.be/__M0MR1Du7k Around 10:30 p.m., the officer was driving his personal vehicle on the way to work and was in his uniform when he became involved in an apparent road rage dispute with three suspects. One suspect got out of a vehicle and fired into the officer’s car, striking him in the shoulder. The officer returned fire and then drove himself to the HPD Northwest Station, where he received immediate medical attention before being transported to a hospital. They then located an adult male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid and applied tourniquets before the Houston Fire Department transported him to a local hospital. Witnesses reported that two males wearing ski masks were standing in the street and began shooting at a vehicle as it drove away. Three additional passengers were inside the vehicle and were not injured. Police stated the victim, who was driving, was struck by gunfire. HOUSTON, TX – Officers with the Northeast Patrol Division responded to a shooting call in the 7600 block of Curry at the Silver Glen Apartments. https://youtu.be/WzrNecvJCSo Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male who was deceased in the parking lot. Houston Fire Department personnel arrived shortly after and also pronounced the victim deceased. Police have not yet determined who was involved or what led to the shooting. HOUSTON, TX – Officers responded to a shooting at a large gathering in the 15200 block of Vandalia Way at Rancho El Dorado. https://youtu.be/OVbhiAqA1ag Upon arrival, officers found six individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Some of the victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and some self-transported. A female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police believe that two or more individuals exchanged gunfire after an argument escalated.
