According to Sgt. Rose with the Houston Police Department, a single fatal vehicle crash happened just after 9:00 p.m. on March 5, 2022. The crash happened in the 4600 block of Holmes Road when a Mini Cooper exited the freeway at a high rate of speed. As the driver took the curve onto Holmes Rd, the driver lost control, crashed into several trees, flipped over and was partially ejected since they were not wearing their seatbelt. Police believe that if the driver had been wearing their seatbelt, there is a good chance that driver, while injured would still be alive.

A mattress on the freeway dropped likely dropped by another motorist appeared to be the cause of an accident on the Eastex Freeway @ Little York shortly after 11 p.m. on March 4, 2022.

At about 9:50 p.m. on March 3, 2022, marked SUV of the Houston Fire Department was involved in a major accident in the 900 block of W. Alabama @ Montrose. Houston Police are investigating what exactly led up to the accident.

A City of Houston firetruck was involved in an accident shortly before 9 p.m. on February 28, 2022 while leaving a Texaco gas station (2505 Shadowbriar Dr.)

Houston Police spotted a reckless driver on I-10, headed eastbound into downtown on February 28, 2022 shortly before 8 p.m. The suspect, (driving a maroon truck) crashed into another driver and was arrested, causing traffic to come to a standstill while police officers worked diligently to move the accident off the freeway. No injuries were reported.

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at about 8:45 p.m. The accident occurred on South Highway 6 in the 14000 block of Briar Forest. Houston Police are investigating.
