Motorcyclist found deceased near Mile 97 of Seward Highway

ANCHORAGE, AK – Anchorage Police responded to a welfare check near Mile 97 of the Seward Highway at 5:40 p.m. on October 4, 2025, and discovered a deceased adult male at the scene. Officers located a crashed motorcycle nearby. A preliminary investigation indicates the incident was a single-vehicle crash. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Paulo Faamuli Jr. Next-of-kin notification has been completed. Anchorage Police are continuing to investigate under case number 25-30666.

According to APD, residents who need to reach police dispatch should call 3-1-1 (option #1) or (907) 786-8900 until the issue is resolved. If you live outside of Anchorage, you are urged to contact your local non-emergency line. It is not known how long the outage will last.

Police investigating deaths of two people at Davis Park in Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, AK – Anchorage Police are investigating the deaths of an adult male and an adult female found outside at Davis Park, located at 5081 Mountain View Drive. Officers were dispatched to the scene around 3:18 a.m. on September 9, 2025. Upon arrival, they made observations that warranted a closer look at the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The Crime Scene Team responded to process the scene, and the Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death for both individuals. Police said there will be a continued presence in the area as the investigation continues, but no road closures are in effect. APD Case: 25-27721
