Bicyclist killed in crash along Eastex Freeway service road

HOUSTON, TX – A bicyclist was killed in a crash early Sunday morning along the southbound Eastex Freeway service road. https://youtu.be/CzC_7mfEGaU According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, units were dispatched around 2:00 a.m. to the 13900 block of Eastex Freeway Service Road in reference to an auto-pedestrian crash. Upon arrival, deputies learned that a male driver, operating a vehicle in the number two lane southbound on the service road, struck a bicyclist riding in the same lane. The male bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. There were no apparent witnesses to the crash. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to a press release from the Harris County Sheriff's Office, a man died following a shooting late Tuesday night near the Las Palmas apartment complex in the 6000 block of Hamill Road. The above photo was sent in by one of our viewers via tips@houstonstringer.com Deputies responded at approximately 11:30 p.m. on April 22, 2025, after a 911 caller reported a male shot in the grass on the south side of the road. EMS transported the adult male to a local hospital, where he died during surgery. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators processed the scene and interviewed several individuals who arrived after the shooting.
