A four-year-old girl was grazed by shrapnel in the knee but sustained very minor injuries. Witnesses reported hearing yelling before the shooting. HOUSTON, TX - A shooting near the intersection of Richmond and Fondren took place Tuesday afternoon around 12:35 p.m. According to Chief Diaz of the Houston Police Department, the victim, a Precinct 4 Deputy was shot while on his way to work. Man dies after losing control on the South Loop

HOUSTON, TX - A vehicle crash on the South Loop resulted in one fatality and one person injured early this morning. The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. in the 7100 block of South Loop East. According to police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control, causing the car to go off the road. The vehicle flipped multiple times before crashing into a metal fence on the feeder road. Houston Fire Department (HFD) personnel had to extricate the driver from the vehicle.
