HOUSTON, TX — Greenwood Lounge released a formal statement addressing a law enforcement operation that took place at the business during the early morning hours of Dec. 6. According to the statement, at approximately 3 a.m., an investor for Greenwood Lounge was stopped by law enforcement while en route to the establishment, removed from his vehicle, detained, and transported to the front entrance of the lounge. The investor was then escorted inside by multiple officers and questioned regarding an allegation that alcohol had been sold to an undercover officer. Greenwood Lounge stated it operates as a BYOB venue and that any alcohol stored on site was secured in locked cabinets for future, scheduled day-party events. The driver did not remain at the scene. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene. HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed after one suspect was arrested and another remains wanted in the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man at 8003 Orebo Street about 10:30 p.m. on November 21. According to the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, officers responded to the location and found the victim, Kevin Fowler, with a gunshot wound inside his vehicle.
