According to the Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, the driver of a white Ford Expedition had a flat tire and stopped in a moving lane of traffic. A black Kia Sportage struck the rear of the Ford, and a silver BMW 5 Series then collided with the Kia. The unknown male driver of the Ford fled the scene on foot. Signage on the building indicates it houses Metro City Bank and Tran Law Group. As of now, no injuries have been reported but one firefighter is being checked out for possible heat exhaustion. According to police, officers from the Clear Lake Division responded to a shooting call and found a male, believed to be in his mid-30s, deceased inside a Nissan Altima. Witness statements and evidence suggest a second person was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting but fled into the apartment complex. HOUSTON, TX – A resident woke up to flames on the wall and ceiling as a fire broke out in a lower unit of a one-story apartment building early Monday morning. https://youtu.be/_R4cqdv-to4 The fire occurred around 2:55 a.m. at the Residence at the Heights, located at 611 W Cavalcade. According to officials, the resident in the affected unit managed to escape and alert occupants of the second-floor unit to evacuate. The fire spread through the walls and reached the second unit before being quickly extinguished by fire crews. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
