HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a building fire in the 4800 block of Tidwell. https://youtu.be/Gn0-NQKI77c According to preliminary information, the building may have been vacant, but this is still to be confirmed. At least one firefighter was transported for injuries, and both the cause of the fire and the extent of the firefighter’s injuries are unknown at this time. Units were called to the location for a collision involving a citizen’s vehicle and a pedestrian. The driver was traveling eastbound on Quitman toward the U.S. 59 Freeway when he struck an object and then heard people on a nearby corner begin to scream. One suspect got out of a vehicle and fired into the officer’s car, striking him in the shoulder.
