FAIRFIELD, CA – Fairfield Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after officers discovered two people deceased inside an apartment early Saturday morning. Around 3:03 a.m. on November 1, officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 3700 block of Lyon Road after several callers reported hearing gunfire. Upon arrival, officers located a man and a woman deceased inside the residence. Detectives responded and began investigating. Preliminary findings indicate the deaths may have resulted from an apparent murder-suicide, though the official cause of death will be determined following further investigation. At approximately 7:20 a.m. on October 31, deputies with the Yucaipa Station responded to a medical aid call in the 12000 block of Sixth Street. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Matthew Ludwig called authorities and reported that his brother, 55-year-old Larry Adams, was not breathing. According to the Victorville Police Department, the collision occurred around 7:47 a.m. near Monte Vista Road and Luna Road. Deputies determined that the driver, identified as Michael Hernandez Gonzales, had just delivered a load of dirt to a local construction zone when he suffered a medical emergency while driving onto the roadway. According to police, officers responded after receiving a report that a woman had been stabbed in the neck with scissors. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from a serious neck wound and rendered medical aid. UNION CITY, CA – The Union City Police Department is investigating a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian collision that occurred at the intersection of Decoto Road and Royal Ann Drive. According to police, officers responded around 6:26 a.m. and found a 55-year-old male pedestrian who had been struck while crossing Decoto Road. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. SIMI VALLEY, CA – A man was critically injured after his electric bike collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Sequoia Avenue and Darby Street. The crash occurred around 12:08 p.m. on October 25, 2025. According to the Simi Valley Police Department, the rider, identified as 84-year-old Janes Nownes, was transported to Los Robles Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Preliminary findings indicate that Nownes swerved into the path of a northbound vehicle on Sequoia Avenue, striking the side of the car and being thrown from the e-bike.
