LINCOLN, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that left a 66-year-old man seriously injured early Thursday morning in Lincoln. At approximately 6:21 a.m. on September 18, 2025, troopers responded to a residence in the 29000 block of Fleatown Road for a report of a shooting. According to the preliminary investigation, an unidentified suspect entered the home through an unsecured door and shot the victim in the chest while he was asleep. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. His current condition has not been released. The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is actively investigating the incident. No suspect description has been released at this time.

LEWES, DE, Sept. 18, 2025 – Delaware State Police have arrested 63-year-old Jeffrey Brower of Lewes following an investigation into a home improvement fraud involving an elderly victim. According to investigators, troopers began looking into Brower on Sept. 2, 2025, after receiving a complaint from a 66-year-old Lewes resident. The victim reported signing a contract with Brower in October 2024 for HVAC work and paying him $7,000. However, Brower never started the work and failed to reimburse the funds. Following the investigation, troopers obtained a warrant for Brower’s arrest. He turned himself in at Troop 7 on Sept. 11, 2025. WILMINGTON, DE, Sept. 18, 2025 – Delaware State Police have arrested 30-year-old Robert George, of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, in connection with a road rage incident that occurred Monday evening on Concord Pike near Concord Mall. According to investigators, around 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 15, a 45-year-old Wilmington man contacted authorities after an encounter with another driver who allegedly displayed a firearm. The victim told troopers he was driving southbound in the left lane of Concord Pike when a Chevrolet Colorado abruptly swerved into his lane, cutting him off. The incident happened on September 15, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Dupont Boulevard (US 113) at the intersection with Redden Road. According to police, the arrest occurred around 2:21 p.m. on September 13, when members of the Special Operations Division Traffic Unit and the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division contacted a subject illegally operating a scooter. According to police, the incident began around 1:16 a.m. on September 16, when officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle whose driver was known to be wanted for various offenses. According to Wilmington Police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 11:59 a.m. and located two male victims—one 24 years old and the other 18—both suffering from gunshot wounds. Although the golf cart did not strike another object and sustained no damage, the incident is being investigated by the Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit as a fatal crash.
