Lyft driver found dead in ditch in Louisiana; suspect killed fleeing on Houston freeway
HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man struck and killed while fleeing from a stolen vehicle near Beltway 8 and Wallisville Road was one of two suspects wanted in connection with the killing of a Lyft driver in Louisiana, according to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory.

The homicide victim was identified as 62-year-old Lawanna J. Lewis of Lake Charles, a Lyft driver whose body was found shot to death in a ditch along Trousdale Road. She had been working as a Lyft driver when she was killed. A truck driver delivering to Phillips 66 discovered her body around 11 a.m.
Investigators determined Lewis had been giving two men, identified as Tristan Bush, 26, of Lafayette, and Ethan Bush of Boyce, a ride prior to her death. It is still unclear if the trip was booke...
