Brooklyn Pace charged with murder in fentanyl poisoning death of 21-year-old Chase Boone
TEXAS — Federal, state and local law enforcement officials announced that Brooklyn Pace has been charged with murder in connection with the fentanyl poisoning death of 21-year-old Chase Boone.
According to officials, Boone was found in medical distress at a Super 8 motel in La Marque on Aug. 2, 2025. First responders attempted life-saving measures, but Boone died at the scene.
Investigators later determined Boone's death was caused by a fentanyl overdose. Following an extensive investigation involving local and federal law enforcement partners, Pace was identified as a suspect in the case.
Authorities said the Galveston County District Attorney's Office accepted a murder charge against Pace, and a $200,000 bond was set.
