Daycare owner arrested for failing to report child abuse

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC – Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department’s Special Victims Unit have arrested 45-year-old Robin Bryant, owner of Sweetgrass Christian Academy, for allegedly failing to report child abuse occurring at her daycare facility. Bryant was taken into custody after investigators determined she had been made aware of the alleged abuse but did not notify authorities as required by state law. The daycare is located at 1520 Remount Road in North Charleston. A daycare employee had previously been arrested and charged with unlawful conduct toward a child in connection with the same case. Bryant is now charged with failure to report child abuse or neglect and was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.

WILMINGTON, DE – A 21-year-old male pedestrian was killed following a vehicle collision on Northeast Boulevard late on September 18, 2025. According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers were dispatched around 9:20 p.m. to the 1100 block of Northeast Boulevard in reference to a crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located the 21-year-old victim, who had succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 31-year-old Jose Ayala-Medina, was taken into custody without incident. ARROYO GRANDE, CA – One person was killed and another injured after a stabbing inside a home on Victoria Way late on September 18, 2025. According to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:47 p.m. to a 9-1-1 call regarding an intruder who entered a residence in the 600 block of Victoria Way and stabbed both occupants. Upon arrival, officers found two adults with stab wounds. First aid was rendered with assistance from Five Cities Fire and SLO Ambulance. Both victims were transported to a local hospital. WILMINGTON, DE – A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on September 18, 2025. According to Wilmington Police, officers responded around 1:57 p.m. to the area of West 2nd and North DuPont Streets for a reported shooting. A 24-year-old male gunshot victim was later located and transported to the hospital in stable condition. While on scene, officers obtained a description of the suspect vehicle. HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 6633 West Airport Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. on January 29, 2019. The suspect, Trevon Demitri Lewis, 28, is charged with murder in the 337th Criminal District Court. The victim has been identified as Terry Clark, 44. According to the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division, Clark was found deceased inside his apartment at the location.
