Elderly cyclist dies after being struck by vehicle on Foothill Expressway

PALO ALTO, CA – Police are investigating a fatal vehicle collision that resulted in the death of an elderly bicyclist who was struck earlier this month along the Foothill Expressway. The incident occurred on October 4, 2025, at approximately 12:18 p.m. in the 3400 block of Foothill Expressway. According to police, the cyclist, a man in his eighties, was traveling southbound in the bicycle lane when he entered into the lanes of vehicular traffic and was struck by a 2022 Mercedes Benz sedan. The cyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and suffered a major head injury. He was transported by paramedics to a local hospital, where he died on October 15, 2025. According to the Corcoran Police Department, officers were dispatched to an apartment around 6:12 a.m. on September 6, 2025, where they located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound to the torso. HARVEY, ND – A 45-year-old woman from Tioga was killed late Wednesday night in a head-on crash involving an SUV and a semi-truck on Highway 52, approximately nine miles southeast of Harvey. The fatal collision occurred at around 10:26 p.m. on October 15, 2025, near mile marker 177.5. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2015 Nissan Rogue was traveling northwest on Highway 52 when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a 2007 Kenworth truck traveling southeast. MINOT, ND – A 42-year-old man was killed in a T-bone crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of 37th Avenue SW and 10th Street SW on Wednesday evening. The collision occurred just before 6:30 p.m. CT on October 15, 2025. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a 2024 Suzuki GSX 1300 motorcycle was traveling westbound on 37th Avenue SW at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a 2015 Dodge Durango driven by a juvenile was stopped at a stop sign on 10th Street SW and attempted to turn eastbound onto 37th Avenue SW. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the SUV in the intersection. Both vehicles came to rest at the crash site.
