HOUSTON, TX – A Houston firefighter has been charged with credit card abuse following an investigation by the Harris County Precinct One Constable’s Office. Curtis Jones, 28, was arrested Thursday morning at his residence, which investigators linked to the alleged crime through a connected IP address. Among the allegations, Jones is accused of attempting to use the victim’s credit card online to purchase a shirt and pair of sneakers totaling $650 from GOAT. AUSTIN, TX – A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning outside a convenience store in north Austin, and police are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect. The Austin Police Department responded at 3:11 a.m. on October 12, 2025, to the 7-Eleven located at 1822 Rutland Drive. Officers found a man lying in the parking lot next to his vehicle with gunshot wounds. The victim, identified as Quinton Arnold, 37, was pronounced deceased at 4:19 a.m. According to investigators, Arnold had been standing outside the store when a vehicle approached, opened fire, struck him, and fled the scene.
