DENVER, CO – The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit has denied a petition for review filed by Deisy Ernestina Rosas-Garcia, her husband Rafael Pico-Garcia, and their minor child, upholding a decision by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) that denied their request for asylum and ordered their removal to Colombia. Teen fatally shot in Algiers, New Orleans Police investigating

NEW ORLEANS, LA – New Orleans Police are investigating a homicide after a teenage male was found shot to death in Algiers on October 6, 2025. According to investigators, officers responded to the 3700 block of Texas Drive shortly after 8 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Fourth District officers found the victim on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. New Orleans EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name and official cause of death after notifying next of kin and conducting an autopsy. DALLAS, TX – According to police, a tip submitted to Southwest Patrol Crime Response Team officers led to the seizure of more than 150 kilograms of methamphetamine, cash, and a firearm earlier this month. On October 1, officers located a suspect believed to be trafficking narcotics in the 4300 block of Communications Drive.
