HOUSTON, TX – A driver was killed early Sunday morning after a Jeep crashed into a stalled vehicle on the East Freeway. https://youtu.be/okzyKrLDFBI The crash occurred around 2:25 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-10 just before Wayside. According to the Houston Police Department, officers received a call about a stalled blue Nissan that was stopped in the second lane of the freeway. A Jeep struck the rear of the Nissan. The driver of the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Houston Fire Department. The age of the victim is not known at this time. The Houston Fire Department provided treatment on scene, including a chest seal and tourniquet, before taking the victim to a hospital. He was reported to be in stable condition. An individual was seen running through the front of the apartment complex when a vehicle traveling westbound on Glenmont Drive began shooting in his direction. Upon arrival, responders found multiple injured individuals on the street in front of the 17-story building. A primary search of the structure revealed two additional individuals, who were guided to the triage area.
