HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A pedestrian was pronounced deceased after being struck on the East Freeway in the Channelview area. https://youtu.be/PBryLlW2bhg The crash occurred around 9:21 p.m. in the 15000 block of the East Freeway, where deputies responded to an auto-pedestrian accident on the westbound mainlanes. Video shows a heavy police presence outside strip center with in Montrose

HOUSTON, TX - A viewer who shared the video said an ambulance left the area with lights and sirens just before 2 a.m., around the same time multiple police units began arriving. The viewer said they began recording around 2:22 a.m. after hearing two loud sounds that sounded like gunshots, but said they could not confirm what the sounds were. The viewer also said the streets were packed with people and vehicles, and that people were seen running down Hyde Park Street across Montrose Boulevard during the early moments of the activity. No additional information has been released.

Second alarm requested after garage found fully engulfed in flames at northwest Houston home

HOUSTON, TX – According to the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department, crews responded to a residential fire in the Inwood North area of northwest Houston. https://youtu.be/pisugYmUDEk The fire occurred in the 8000 block of Bold Forest Drive. Upon arrival, the first crews on scene reported the garage of the main residence was fully engulfed in flames, and a second alarm was requested due to the risk of the fire spreading to nearby structures. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire. Everyone inside the residence was confirmed safe. Mutual aid was provided by the Little York Fire Department, Cypress Creek Fire Department, Champions Fire Department, and Cy-Fair Fire Department.

Deputy injured after suspected intoxicated driver crashes into patrol vehicle

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy was injured after a suspected intoxicated driver crashed into a patrol vehicle. https://youtu.be/PKX28h4Ym80 The crash occurred along the Beltway 8 frontage road at Imperial Valley. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was traveling westbound on Beltway 8 with green lights when another vehicle traveling northbound struck the patrol unit. A witness to the crash provided a statement to investigators. The deputy suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the other vehicle did not show any signs of injury. After the crash, the other driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
