During a roadside investigation, K9 Ordy alerted to the presence of narcotics. Officers then located modified exhaust compartments in both vehicles, each concealing about seven kilograms of cocaine. HITCHCOCK, TX – A man was killed and a woman critically injured following a boating accident in Hitchcock early Friday morning. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on October 17, 2025. According to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to assist the Hitchcock Police Department after two individuals were reportedly ejected from a vessel. The female victim was located and Life Flighted to UTMB Galveston, where she remains in critical condition. The Sheriff’s Office Marine Division and Dive Team later recovered the body of a 26-year-old male from the water. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A mother has been arrested and charged with murder following the July death of her nine-year-old daughter who was left inside a parked vehicle in Galena Park. File Photo (April 2025) According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, on July 1, 2025, at approximately 2:06 p.m., Galena Park Police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Mayo Shell Road after receiving a call about an unresponsive child in a vehicle. Officers arrived at approximately 2:18 p.m. and found the child unresponsive, with CPR in progress. The child was transported by ambulance to LBJ Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
