The project involves a total renovation of the existing 6,500-square-foot barbecue restaurant. The work is privately funded and is being carried out on private land for private use. Unlicensed practitioner Joshua Aaron Gomez arrested for sexual assault; authorities seek additional victims

HOUSTON, TX – Joshua Aaron Gomez, 43, has been taken into custody by members of the Violent Persons Task Force on a felony warrant for Sexual Assault. According to investigators, Gomez had allegedly been performing unlicensed procedures after the State suspended his chiropractic license following complaints of a sexual nature. Authorities with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Special Victims Division said they have since identified 12 additional survivors with varying complaints against Gomez. Former Sears building at Deerbrook Mall to be transformed into $2 million entertainment complex

HUMBLE, TX – A major renovation project will repurpose a former Sears building at Deerbrook Mall into a large-scale entertainment venue. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the project, called Score USA Deerbrook, will take place at 20131 Highway 59 North. Construction began June 1, 2025, and is expected to be completed by June 1, 2026. The $2 million renovation will overhaul the 147,022-square-foot building to create an entertainment complex. HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A 59-year-old man has been charged with misdemeanor escape after authorities say he fled from the custody of a Harris County Precinct 4 constable deputy while being detained for stealing a lawnmower. According to court records, the incident occurred on August 4, 2025, the same day Michael Jerome Roy was arrested in connection with a misdemeanor theft investigation involving a stolen lawnmower valued between $100 and $750. SPRING, TX – Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office has charged 4G Septic Solutions with water pollution after investigators said the company illegally dumped hundreds of gallons of septic tank waste into a storm drain in early July. According to court documents, the incident happened on July 1, 2025, in the 5700 block of Pimberton Lane in Spring. Deputies said they responded to the location after receiving reports of illegal dumping and found a white Ford F-650 tanker truck with the company’s name parked near an open manhole.
