Man arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping of 3-year-old in Houston after motel worker calls police

Holman Hernandez, a 50-year-old man, how now been arrested and charged with the kidnapping of a 3-year-old over the weekend.

The 3-year-old was found in a motel with Hernandez after an intruder kidnapped her from her family’s apartment early sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday night and Sunday at 5:30 a.m. when the family discovered their apartment door was open and the girl was missing.

The family called the police and police searched the area. One of the residents of the apartment complex told officers that they saw the girl with a man and gave a description that led police to believe it was Holman Hernandez. They found his vehicle a block away from the kidnapping around 2 p.m.

A nearby hotel manager alerted the officers that at about 7:30 a.m., they rented a motel to Holman Hernandez and police were able to rescue the girl.

Holman Hernandez was booked into jail and charged with aggravated kidnapping.
