June 9, 2023 – A man in his mid-twenties was shot in the arm after getting tacos in the 9000 block Town Park Drive in Southwest Houston.
The victim was walking in a parking lot around 10:30 p.m. after buying tacos from a street vendor when two men, described as Hispanic and possibly involved in gang activity, approached him. The men did not engage in much conversation before one of them shot him in the arm.
The victim doesn’t believe he was the intended target of this attack, suggesting a possible case of mistaken identity.
The incident is currently being investigated by the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults division. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward and contact HPD.
