HOUSTON, TX (June 7, 2024) – A teen is dead after a drug deal turned violent.
The shooting occurred just after 8 p.m. at the Abbey at Briar Forest Apartment Complex located at 11655 Briar Forest in west Houston.
According to police, the 17 year old who was living with his 21 year old girlfriend was at home when two other men in their 20’s showed up to do a drug transaction.
The girlfriend and the victim were in the bathroom trying to get some money together and when they exited police say the suspects made it clear that they did not want the teen there and one of the suspects shot him in the arm.
The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Both suspects fled on foot and may be wanted for other shootings. If you have any information about the suspects you are urged to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
