HOUSTON, TX – One man is dead and six people are in the hospital after a fatal freeway crash.
The crash occurred just west of Federal on the inbound side of the East Freeway.
According to police, the man was standing in the number one lane when a vehicle came and struck him. The driver of that vehicle went to the hospital. Following the crash, a second vehicle crashed into the first one. 5 occupants in that vehicle were transported to the hospital as well.
It is not clear why the man was on the freeway but the crash remains under investigation.
