HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot during an altercation involving a new boyfriend and an ex-boyfriend at the Quail Creek Apartments in northwest Houston.
Houston Police Department Northwest Patrol officers responded to the shooting around midnight in the 8000 block of Grow Lane. The confrontation occurred outdoors in a common area of the apartment complex.
The victim, believed to be the ex-boyfriend and in his 30s, was shot once in the lower extremities. Responding officers applied a tourniquet to his leg before he was transported by Houston Fire Department medics to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
A possible suspect is in custody. No children were present during the incident.
