HOUSTON, TX – A United Airlines flight bound for Frankfurt was diverted back to Houston shortly after takeoff Saturday evening.
Flight N217UA, operated on a Boeing 777-200, departed Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) at 6:24 p.m. CDT on May 31, 2025, but returned to IAH by 8:14 p.m.
The Houston Fire Department met the aircraft upon arrival. Details have not been released regarding the reason for the diversion.
