Driver pronounced deceased in crash involving 18-wheeler on West Mount Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday in the 1800 block of West Mount Houston.

The crash involved an 18-wheeler and a vehicle. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured, but the driver of the vehicle was pinned and subsequently pronounced deceased. West Mount Houston was closed down between Ella Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Drive as deputies investigated.

Life Flight was called out to the scene initially but was later called off.
