HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested two suspects after a vehicle pursuit ended near 9799 Antoine Drive and West Road in northwest Harris County.
The incident began when deputies attempted to stop a reckless driver near the 2200 block of North Sam Houston Tollway West. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a chase.
Once the vehicle came to a stop, both occupants fled on foot. Constable K9 “Tejas Briones” and Drone “Iceman” responded to the scene and quickly tracked the two suspects. In a desperate attempt to escape, one suspect grabbed K9 Tejas’s face while another punched him. Despite the assault, K9 Tejas continued to assist and helped deputies take both suspects into custody.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Evading, and Interference with a Police Service Animal. Both individuals were booked into the Harris County Jail.
