According to police, officers stopped two vehicles traveling in tandem for speeding violations. During a roadside investigation, K9 Ordy alerted to the presence of narcotics. Officers then located modified exhaust compartments in both vehicles, each concealing about seven kilograms of cocaine.

Inside one of the vehicles, officers also discovered a red hat bearing the slogan “Make America Great Again.”

Chief Wally Wieghat praised the department’s teamwork, stating, “This type of proactive policing represents exactly what community protection looks like — staying alert, working together, and taking dangerous drugs and criminals off the road before they can harm anyone else.”

Lieutenant T. Teller, Commander of the Criminal Interdiction Unit, added, “Our officers train relentlessly for moments like this. Every stop, every search, every partnership matters. For us, making America great again means keeping our communities safe, our children protected, and our city drug-free.”
