HOUSTON, TX – Two men were killed in a shooting outside an apartment complex in the 6300 block of Windswept around 7:30 p.m.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers with the Midwest Patrol Division were dispatched after receiving a report of a male who had been assaulted and was injured. When officers arrived, they found an adult male in front of the apartment complex suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Officers performed CPR until Houston Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
While officers were working the scene, they received another report of a second male found along a walking path near the bayou west of the complex. Responding officers located the man and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Investigators believe both victims were shot during an altercation on a walkway of the apartment complex. One victim collapsed in front of the complex, while the other ran toward the jogging path before collapsing.
