HOUSTON, TX – A woman was shot multiple times while attempting to confront another female at an apartment complex in the 8500 block of Broadway around 9:06 p.m.
Police say the woman arrived at the location and approached the front doorway when a male resident, who was in the parking lot, saw her and fired several shots.
A second male, described as a witness, arrived and attempted to help. The shooter, who remained on scene, sustained a gunshot wound to the hand.
The woman was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The male shooter was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
One firearm was recovered at the scene. Police confirmed that all individuals involved are either detained or receiving medical treatment.
