Driver and passenger extricated after Corvette crashes into Masonic lodge during pursuit in northwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A Corvette fleeing from Houston Police flipped over and crashed into a Masonic lodge in northwest Houston.

The crash occurred at 6203 W. Little York Road after officers attempted to stop the vehicle.

According to the Houston Police Department, patrol officers observed a Corvette running red lights and driving reckless at high speeds on West Montgomery Road. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled. Police said the chase lasted about five minutes until the Corvette got a flat tire, flipped over, and crashed into the building.

The male driver and female passenger, both believed to be in their 30s, were trapped inside the vehicle. Houston Fire Department crews performed an extrication and transported both to a hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition.

Police do not believe the car is stolen at this time, but the investigation is ongoing. The male driver was wanted for aggregate felony theft and engaging in organized crime. Additional charges will be determined by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
