MONTEREY PARK, CALIFORNIA – CloutRecs, founded by Andrew Lam, is a recently launched social media platform that enables creators to share their YouTube watch history with followers. The site supports creators across genres such as fitness, cooking, music, comedy and education who wish to monetize and share their viewing habits with fans.

According to the platform’s website, creators maintain full ownership of their watch data and retain 80 percent of any revenue earned, supported through features including paid subscriptions, pay‑per‑view playlists, livestreams, polls, tips and direct messaging. Payouts are processed through Stripe. Vimeo and YouTube links are supported for embedding content.
Houston Stringer has created an account on the platform and, through the signup process, found it easy to set up by following the instructions provided. Users can upload their YouTube watch history by downloading it through Google Takeout, unzipping the files, and submitting them to CloutRecs. This manual upload is optional and primarily intended for bulk importing data. If you are concerned about making your YouTube watch history from 5 or 10 years ago public, you can instead choose to manually post individual videos. Houston Stringer has opted for the individual posting option.
The platform also offers filters to select what content is published, allowing creators to choose specific channels, date ranges, or to manually select and deselect individual videos.
Houston Stringer currently has the free subscriber option selected. If you want to get a sense of the platform, you can follow us here: https://cloutrecs.com/index/houstonstrigner. We will be using CloutRecs to highlight videos we find interesting, so check back for updates.
