“The jig is up”: Dr. Matthews alleges trafficking, coercion by QX Global leader

HOUSTON, TX – Multiple women have come forward with serious allegations against Jennifer Knighton, accusing her of trafficking, coercion, false representation, and witness tampering. The claims have built up over a series of videos and testimonies, leading to a public callout during a press conference held outside Big City Food in Houston, where Knighton did not appear despite invitations to respond.

In a recorded phone call, one woman alleged that Knighton gave her a pill while she was in a vulnerable state and that she later woke up being taken into Mexico by unknown individuals. She said she was held against her will for five months while Knighton convinced her family she was in treatment. The woman said Knighton contacted CPS in Georgia, misrepresented herself as a counselor, and submitted false information. After returning to Los Angeles, the woman reported the incident to LAPD and was referred to the FBI due to the cross-border nature of the allegations.

Dr. Candice Matthews later posted a video publicly accusing Knighton of trafficking and promising legal action. Matthews confirmed her team had spoken with the woman and submitted information to CPS and federal law enforcement. “You brought this woman to Mexico and dropped her there,” Matthews said. “We’re going to get to the bottom of it.” Matthews also addressed claims from Knighton that her voice was not being heard, noting that Houston Stringer had been present and waiting for her at the Big City Food press conference.

A second woman shared her own experience, stating she had helped Knighton by putting an apartment in her name and caring for her children while dealing with her own pregnancy and family issues. She says Knighton later accused her of theft and retaliated by threatening to disclose personal information about her family. The woman denied all of Knighton’s claims and said she had tried to leave the situation multiple times but was manipulated and pressured to stay.

Both women say Knighton used their vulnerability to control them and has a pattern of misrepresenting herself to agencies and family members. Dr. Matthews says screenshots and evidence have been turned over to relevant authorities.

The situation drew further public attention when Knighton failed to appear at the press conference organized outside Big City Food. Matthews and others present said Knighton had an open invitation to respond but chose not to attend.
