Quanell X investigates claims of judicial misconduct involving Judge Sandra Peake, Black attorneys and their clients

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Quanell X is investigating claims of judicial misconduct involving Judge Sandra Peake and allegations concerning the treatment of Black attorneys and their clients within the Harris County court system.

The investigation includes allegations raised in a yearslong child custody dispute involving a Houston mother who claims court errors, excluded evidence and repeated delays have prevented her from regaining primary care of her son despite an earlier appellate court reversal.

The mother alleges Peake excluded evidence involving her son’s welfare, including proposed medical testimony concerning bruising and alleged pinch marks, along with evidence involving a CPS worker who reportedly expressed concerns about the child’s father.

Quanell X is reviewing the allegations as part of a broader examination of claims involving Black attorneys and their clients and their treatment in the court system.

The allegations have not been established as findings of judicial misconduct, and no wrongdoing by Peake or other court officials has been established based on the information provided.
