According to investigators, the shooting occurred after a group of uninvited guests arrived at the frat house party and were asked to leave. The group became angry, and one individual retrieved a weapon from a vehicle. Officers on scene provided first aid, applying chest seals and tourniquets before the man was transported to a nearby hospital. He is reported to be in critical condition. According to police, a female called in the shooting, which is believed to have been a drive-by. No suspect information is available at this time. BAYTOWN, TX – Baytown police are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Laguna Azul Apartments in the 1200 block of Northwood Drive about 10 p.m. Friday, August 15. https://youtu.be/0uoBxKwsNL4 Officers arrived on scene and located a 19-year-old male from Baytown with gunshot wounds to his legs. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet, and the victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The case remains under investigation. LIVINGSTON, TX – A Lufkin man was arrested Wednesday evening in Livingston after police responded to reports of an intoxicated individual acting erratically. According to the Livingston Police Department, officers were dispatched to the Boot Barn and later located the suspect at a nearby gas station. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Timothy Whittington, showed multiple signs of intoxication and had open alcohol in his vehicle. Whittington was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. Noe Diaz Jr., Houston Fire Chief Thomas Muñoz, and community leaders on Tuesday to break ground on a new public safety complex that will house the Houston Police Department’s North Belt Patrol Station. The 27,000-square-foot, two-story facility is being developed through a collaboration between HPD and the Houston Fire Department. Located at 320 Gears Road, behind the Greens Crossroads Shopping Center at 547 Greens Parkway, the complex will serve north Houston communities. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2026.

Man arrested for unauthorized use of motor vehicle in Atascocita

ATASCOCITA, TX – A man was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after deputies located a possible stolen vehicle in northeast Harris County Sunday morning. The incident occurred around 6:57 a.m. on Aug. 10 in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road. According to Constable Mark Herman, Pct. 4, deputies conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as George Zorkic, 53. Zorkic was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $2,500 out of the 482nd District Court.

HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after reportedly speeding through a business parking lot and striking a concrete pole early Sunday morning in northwest Harris County. The incident occurred around 4:39 a.m. on Aug. 10 in the 27500 block of the Northwest Freeway. According to Constable Mark Herman, Pct. 4, deputies identified the driver as David Small, 68, who showed multiple signs of intoxication. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests confirmed he was intoxicated. Small was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with driving while intoxicated. His bond was set at $100 out of County Court 16.
