HARRIS COUNTY, TX – An adult male has been taken into custody following a disturbance in the 14300 block of Philippine Street in north Harris County. According to Constable Mark Herman, Precinct 4, Deputy Jennings responded to the scene and conducted an investigation, which revealed that the male suspect had physically injured a one-year-old child. AMARILLO, TX – A suspicious bag that initially tested positive for explosive powder prompted a lockdown at Rick Husband International Airport on Saturday morning. According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were called to the airport at 9:54 a.m. after TSA personnel located the bag. As a precaution, the airport was placed on lockdown while the APD bomb team responded to assess the situation. After a thorough investigation, the bomb team determined the bag was safe and there was no threat to the public. The airport resumed normal operations around 12:13 p.m. Officials thanked passengers and the public for their cooperation during the incident.
