Man found dead with “obvious trauma” at Austin mobile home park

AUSTIN, TX – A man was found deceased with “obvious trauma” at the Frontier Valley Mobile Home Park Saturday night, according to the Austin Police Department. APD provides update on homicide at Frontier Valley Mobile Home Park (Facebook) Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to the 1400 block of Frontier Valley Drive after receiving a high-priority “shoot stab hot shot” call. Upon arrival, officers located a Hispanic male with “obvious trauma” and immediately began medical aid until Austin-Travis County EMS and the Austin Fire Department arrived. The victim was pronounced deceased at approximately 10:56 p.m. The incident is being investigated as Austin's 44th homicide of 2025. Police said the victim was found on private property. 14-year-old charged in fatal shooting of 18-year-old in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A 14-year-old has been arrested in the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Police said officers found Marlon Lane, 18, with multiple gunshot wounds September 10 at an apartment complex on Labelle Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Detectives identified 14-year-old Keyon Byrd as the suspect. He turned himself in September 12, the same day a warrant was issued for his arrest. Byrd has been charged with murder and remains in custody.

Bomb threat prompts evacuation at MSU-Billings campus

BILLINGS, MT – Billings Police Department responded to a bomb threat at the Montana State University-Billings campus on September 12, 2025. According to police, the threat was made against McMullen Hall. University Police and BPD units evacuated the building and conducted a search. Investigators determined the caller was a local Billings resident with a history of mental health issues. Officers located the individual at their residence and found them experiencing a mental health crisis. The caller was transported for a psychiatric evaluation without incident. Police say there is no further threat to the public at this time.
