Stolen Corvette pursuit ends in Bellaire crash, suspect taken into custody

BELLAIRE, TX – A pursuit involving a stolen Corvette ended in a crash and arrest earlier this evening after the suspect entered Bellaire city limits. According to the Bellaire Police Department, officers were alerted by the Houston Police Department about the ongoing chase and were requested to assist with patrol and traffic support. Bellaire officers joined the pursuit as it moved through their jurisdiction. The suspect eventually crashed the Corvette and attempted to flee on foot. A perimeter was quickly established with the assistance of HPD’s Air Support unit. Bellaire officers located the suspect and took him into custody. Further investigation confirmed the vehicle had been reported stolen, and the suspect was in possession of a firearm at the time of arrest.

Woman arrested in Nassau Bay on aggravated assault warrant out of Galveston County

NASSAU BAY, TX – Melissa Elizondo, 41, was arrested by the Kemah Police Department in the 2600 block of Lazy Lake Drive. According to authorities, the arrest occurred at approximately 9:08 p.m. on June 30. Elizondo was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon issued by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office. Her bond was set at $80,000.
